Janesville Parker improved to 4-0 in Big Eight Conference girls golf with a pair of victories Thursday afternoon at Riverside Golf Course.

Behind Sophia Dooman’s school record-tying 76, the Vikings shot 363 to down both Madison West (371) and Madison Memorial (390).

The team’s performance, which was 27 strokes better than any other round this season, impressed Parker coach Mary Ross.

“The girls were focused on the course,” Ross said. “They played shot-to-shot and not what their opponents were doing.”

Dooman shot a 1-under 35 on the back nine en route to her 76.

“She was just phenomenal,” Ross said. “She wanted to shoot 75.”

Several players share the record of 76.

Ashlyn Burdick shot 88.

The Vikings will participate in the Crusade for a Cure tournament at Maple Bluff Golf Course on Monday.
