The Milton Junction Pub Raptors struggled to find ways to get on base against Austin Massey and fell to the Hustisford Astros 2-0 on Sunday at Schilberg Park.

Milton and Hustisford are among five clubs fighting for playoff positioning behind first-place Clyman. The Raptors (10-6, 7-6 RRL) remain in sixth place after the loss. The Astros (13-7, 11-5 RRL) moved a half-game ahead of Johnson Creek for second place.

Massey struck out five and walked two in nine innings. The Raptors managed three hits and were shut out for the first time since June 24.

“The diamond played real small today,” Milton manager Doug Welch said. “It was disappointing because the guy they threw is not overpowering by any means. We should hit him better.”

The Raptors host Johnson Creek on Friday and travel to fourth-place Neosho on Sunday.
