MILTON — Gwen Baker held a perfect game midway through the sixth as the No. 1 Red Hawks cruised to a regional title past No. 8 Janesville Craig in a 6-0 softball win on Thursday.
The young Red Hawks pounced on the Cougars early in the contest, with a monstrous two-run home run for Baker. Baker quickly fell down 0-2 against Craig pitcher Presley Stanley before watching three-straight balls pass the plate. On the payoff pitch, Baker made perfect contact and sent the ball past the left-center field fence.
