Individual athletes took the stage Saturday during the second day of the WIAA state gymnastics meet in Wisconsin Rapids.

Burlington’s Regan Cassidy, a Lake Geneva Badger sophomore, finished 14th in the Division 1 all-around, while Elkhorn’s Cameron Jacobson was 15th in the Division 2 all-around.

Cassidy recorded her highest finish—sixth—on the uneven bars with a score of 9.3.

Jacobson, a senior, was Elkhorn’s first state all-around qualifier since Randi Fuller in 2013.

Jacobson wasn’t the only Elkhorn gymnast active Saturday. Freshman Brianna Taylor finished 10th on the floor exercise and was 13th on the balance beam, and freshman Rebecca Wheeler and sophomore Marlie Lockhart also competed.

River Falls’ Samantha Krueger scored 36.95 points to win the Division 2 all-around, including titles on the balance beam, floor exercise and vault. In Division 1, Arrowhead’s Alexis Woida totaled 37.767 points to win the all-around, becoming the school’s first individual champion since Jorin Fredman (2014).
