All-Badger girls hockey: Rock County Fury goaltender Olivia Cronin makes all-league second team

The Fury went 7-15-2 overall and finished fifth in the seven-team Badger Conference standings with a 5-7-0 mark.

Cronin—who said her first experience with hockey came at the age of 3—finished her high school career with more than 2,000 career saves.

“Right away when she came in as a freshman, she had a lot of success,” Fury coach Luke Steurer said. “And from there she’s only gotten better. You look at this year and we are kind of in a rebuilding stage, and she’s out there game after game, standing on her head and keeping the team in the game—even with 40 or 50 shots coming at her.”

Also for the Fury, sophomore forward Emma Kligora earned all-conference honorable mention. The Milton student-athlete led the Fury in scoring with 27 points—more than double the point total of any of her teammates—on team-leading totals of 14 goals and 13 assists.
