Middleton edged Waunakee on Monday for the title at the Crusade Fore a Cure event at Maple Bluff Country Club.

The Cardinals shot 358 to hold off Waunakee by one stroke. Host Edgewood (366) was third, and Milton (368) was fourth.

Janesville Craig finished tied for 11th at 405, while Parker shot 422.

Bay Port’s Jo Baranczyk and Waunakee’s Sam Soulier tied for medalist honors at 3-over 77.

The event reportedly raised more than $17,000 for the University of Wisconsin’s Carbone Center to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer and melanoma.

Milton senior Taylor Hakala fired an 85.

Craig’s Kallie Lux and Parker’s Sophia Dooman each shot 92.

“Maple Bluff requires a lot of course management and more methodical shots than what we’re used to,” Craig coach Alex Schaar said. “With the season half done now, we will get into the teeth of our conference schedule.”

Parker hosts Madison La Follette and Middleton on Friday. Craig hosts Parker and Sun Prairie on Sept. 4.
