The shorthanded Janesville Parker High girls golf team finished behind Middleton on Friday at a Big Eight Conference triangular at Riverside Golf Course.
Bria McDade led the Vikings with a 19-over 90, while Ashlyn Burdick carded a 93. Parker shot 415 as a team, finishing 76 strokes behind Middleton (339). Madison La Follette did not field a complete lineup.
“We wanted to be competitive with Middleton,” Parker coach Mary Ross said. “Baleigh Pajerski (124) had to step up so we could count a score today.”
Middleton’s Kate Meier (77) claimed medalist honors.
Parker played without No. 1 golfer Sophia Dooman (illness). Ross said she expects the senior leader to return for the Vikings’ triangular Tuesday against Janesville Craig and Sun Prairie at Glen Erin Golf Course.
