The Big Foot girls basketball team continues to chase Rock Valley Conference-leading Jefferson in the standings.

Big Foot (16-5, 15-2) downed Brodhead 59-48 on Thursday and is a game back of Jefferson in the RVC standings with one game left to play this season.

Jefferson plays at Edgerton (5-12 in the Rock Valley) tonight, while Big Foot plays at Evansville.

The Chiefs trailed by three at halftime Thursday, but an offensive explosion to the tune of 37 points in the second half led them to victory. Senior guard Courtney Schoenbeck led Big Foot with 24 points

Brodhead senior Erin Nyhus recorded a game-high 29 points for the Cardinals, who play at East Troy tonight to close the regular season.
