For several years, the Janesville Parker and Beloit Memorial swim teams have traveled to the Manitowoc Invitational together.

On Saturday, the Big Eight Conference teams finished 1-2 at the meet.

The Purple Knights won the nine-team meet with 515 points. The Vikings were second with 307.

Ethan Griffith was the top Parker swimmer with a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle (52.96) and a fourth-place finish in the 50 freestyle (23.81).

The Vikings’ Cameron Odegaard was fourth in the 500 freestyle (5:17.64) and fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:11.76).

Craig eighth in Cardinal Relays—The Janesville Craig swimming team finished eighth in the Big Eight Conference-dominated Cardinal Relay Invite at Middleton High School on Saturday.

Madison West (360), Madison Memorial (344) and Middleton (314) took the top three team spots.

Craig finished with 158 points.

The Cougars’ top finish was seventh place in the 200 freestyle relay and eighth-place in the 500 crescendo relay.
