It took until the second half to score, but Janesville Craig’s boys soccer team created chances from the start in Friday’s 2-0 nonconference victory over Lodi.

“We had 30 shots in the game, which goes to show that we were on the attack for the bulk of regulation, including a few that went off the post,” Craig coach Garrett McCabe said.

Ivan Pacheco scored in the 67th minute before Andrew Torres made it a 2-0 game just minutes later.

“Proud of the way the boys played tonight as it is a good step toward a very tough stretch of conference games we have the next two weeks to finish out the regular season,” McCabe said.

Reed Kelly stopped the one shot on net against the Cougars, who play Middleton on Tuesday.
