When an athlete finds a school that he or she likes, the first thing they can do is verbally commit to a program. That's what Janesville Craig freshman Gavin Kilen did when he gave a verbal commitment last week to play baseball at the University of Louisville.

Brain Martin has resigned as Janesville Parker's baseball coach after 18 seasons. He finished with a career record of 206-257 and led the Vikings to the WIAA state tournament in 2014.

The Vikings racked up their 10th win in a row 13-6 over Monona Grove on the Silver Eagles’ field Friday afternoon. The Vikings take a 14-8 record into the WIAA Division 1 tournament. Parker plays the winner of Stoughton and Elkhorn at Riverside Park on Thursday night.
