UW-Whitewater’s men’s basketball team picked up its first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win of the season Wednesday night.

Andre Brown scored 20 points to lead five players in double figures as Whitewater routed UW-Stout 83-60.

Whitewater (12-2, 1-2) opened up a double-digit lead early and eventually led by 14 at half.

The Warhawks shot nearly 50 percent from the field and finished 6-for-19 from 3-point range.

Dalton Menke had 11 points for Whitewater, while Melvin Brown, Malik Clements and Tywon Bressler had 10 points each. Janesville Craig graduate Riley Jensen finished with six points for the Warhawks.
