This last Saturday, as I had lunch with some of classmates from high school, the subject of our local paper came up. We all agreed that The Gazette is a fantastic paper.

As we discussed our thoughts, I was mindful that I bet you all at the paper don't hear that very often. We discussed that regardless of any political affiliation, you are a very fair and balanced paper for many different views.

I am also thankful for the great reporting on the area sports teams.

So in this time of celebrating holidays with those we love, I just wanted to make sure to be thankful for those who work hard to bring us a fair and balanced view of our local area news and the world around us.

Keep up the great work, and merry Christmas!
