Once again the jury system has proven its worth in the Kyle Rittenhouse case. Wisconsinites' right to defend themselves is an important right in these troubled times, and the prosecution tried to label Rittenhouse as an active shooter when in fact he raised his weapon to no one except those coming after him. Rittenhouse was not the only person carrying a weapon in that immediate batch of rioters.

I applaud trying to take down an active shooter of innocents. However, Rittenhouse was not an active shooter and was in fact wise to be armed as it turns out. Unfortunately the prosecutor tried to paint him as an active shooter and the jury saw through it. I was appalled that he was even charged in the first place because officers routinely shoot people who try to grab their guns and are never arrested or charged, much less tried.

The Second Amendment is really about self defense and I join with those who celebrate it. Yes, some young people do misuse firearms, but this is not such a case.
