I just want to comment on the story about the music being too loud at Hammy's roadside bar.
First off, where can you go in this town and listen to free music on a Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours and unwind from your long week? I've lived over behind Hammy's, and I couldn't hear the music.
Why would people complain because they're sitting outside their home on a Sunday listening to free music?
Hammy's does so much for the community. They have motorcycle rides to raise money for so many causes in the area. They donate their proceeds to help people in need. The owner has gone out of her way to accommodate the neighborhood by putting up a fence and garage to block the noise, sound meters to show what the volume level is to make sure that it's under the city code.
I mean, I don't understand why this is such a big issue. We are just regular folks getting together to unwind and appreciate life, each other and some music.
Thank you. Stay safe, and be grateful in life.
