What does the GOP stand for?

It's not “repeal and replace.” The GOP has repealed the individual mandate of Obamacare, but they have not replaced the health program. This has led to higher costs and greatly reduced coverage for our citizens.

Its not “law and order.” The GOP, which has long positioned itself as the party of law and order, is now an adversary of federal law enforcement as the GOP continues to protect President Trump from the Russia investigation. The FBI, the justice department, Robert Mueller and other agencies are under concerted assault by Republicans, facing allegations of corruption and conspiracy that have quickly moved from the fringes of the right into the mainstream of the GOP.

Its not “family values.” The Trump presidency is proof that the Republicans’ brand of morality isn’t based on honesty, decency, truthfulness or good character. Trump has apologized for white supremacists and Nazis, while condemning American’s exercising freedom of speech. He is dismantling America’s essential protections that underlie the responsible stewardship of our natural environment. He refuses to act on gun violence as children are slaughtered in churches and schools. The separation of children and parents at our borders is further evidence of the GOP’s lack of a moral compass.

These actions defy America’s historical moral positions and defy Christian traditions. The GOP’s support of Trump has nullified their claim as the judge of American family values.

After the votes are counted on Nov. 6, the GOP will stand for “Getting Outta Politics.”
