I have always considered myself an independent voter. I make my decision about a candidate based on their qualifications and not their political affiliation. That is why I am supporting Dr. Katherine Gaulke for the Assembly District 32 seat.
Katherine is a problem-solver who gets things done. I first met Katherine when both of us were volunteering at Open Arms Free Clinic. She was concerned about access to, the quality of and affordability of health care, and so she founded the Wisconsin Free and Charitable Clinic Association.
She's helped hundreds of people enroll in health care plans, ensured insurance companies are paying what is fair and organized fairs to help improve the health of our community. She is a long-time educator and an advocate, and we're fortunate to have someone with her real-world experience willing to serve our district. Most important, she'll put us first (not special interests) when it comes to drafting legislation to make health care more affordable, fund our schools and protect our clean water.
I have seen firsthand Katherine's analytical skills, her ability to work with others across the aisle, her passion and dedication to her values and her generous spirit. You could not ask for a better representative advocating for us in Madison. Join me in voting for Katherine Gaulke for Assembly on Nov. 6.
