Authorities dealt with a sticky situation after a semitrailer truck hauling syrup overturned on Janesville’s east side Wednesday morning.
The semitrailer truck was hauling a tank full of food-grade corn syrup, which spilled on the road. The spill is not a hazard. Cleanup took about two hours.
The truck that overturned on the west roundabout at the East Racine Street-Interstate 90/39 interchange.
Police closed Racine Street for a time as crews worked to remove the truck. The scene was reported clear at 11:19 a.m.
