Both lanes of southbound Interstate 90/39 will be closed overnight Monday, May 21, between Janesville and Beloit for pavement repairs, according to a Wisconsin Department of Transportation news release.

The road will be closed from 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday between Highway 11/Avalon Road and County S/Shopiere Road.

Southbound traffic will be redirected off I-90/39 at Avalon Road and along County G/Prairie Avenue, County BT and County S northeast of Beloit during the closure, according to the release.

The southbound on-ramp at Highway 11 also will be closed. A detour route will be posted.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead if traveling through the area. For more information on the closure, visit i39-90.wi.gov.
