Multiple police and fire department responders said a Janesville man was killed and an Indianford woman and three of her passengers were injured after a two-vehicle crash near Indianford on Saturday evening, police said.
According to a Rock County Sheriff’s Office alert, an unidentified Janesville man died after his small vehicle collided with an SUV at West Arrowhead Shores Road near Highway 51 in the town of Fulton at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday.
The sheriff’s office reported that the man was traveling northbound in his vehicle when it struck an SUV traveling southbound. The crash ejected the man from his vehicle.
The woman driving the SUV was hospitalized with injuries and remained in critical condition as of late Saturday. Three of her passengers were treated for minor injuries.
The man was taken to University Hospital, Madison, where he was pronounced dead, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities from the Rock County Sheriff's Office, the Edgerton police and fire departments, and the Janesville Fire Department responded to the crash.
The sheriff’s office as of Sunday morning had not provided other details in the crash.
