The Rock County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday morning declared a slow, no-wake order for all of the Rock River in Rock County.
County ordinances require the boat-speed restriction when water levels exceed certain levels at Lake Koshkonong and on the river at Afton. Those levels have been exceeded for several days.
Deputies will begin placing slow-no-wake signs along the river at the public access points between the northern Rock County line to the state line.
Lake Koshkonong is exempt from the slow, no-wake restriction.
