TROY J. CALBERT, 21, 1934 Liberty Lane, at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday at home on suspicion of one count of false imprisonment and one count of strangulation. A woman he knows said he hit, kicked and strangled her and held her against her will during an incident Wednesday.
Intoxicated Driving Arrests
JESS A. HURLEY, 39, 2933 Oakhill Ave., Janesville, at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday at North Highway 51 and East Cox Road, town of Fulton. An off-duty officer stopped Hurley's vehicle, and Hurley failed a field sobriety test.
CHRISTOPHER A. HOPKINS, 29, no address given, at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday at 1 Center Ave., Janesville after a crash at the Five Points intersection. Hopkins failed a field sobriety test. It was his second offense.
FRAUD at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Center Avenue, Janesville. A man reported an unknown person had called him and defrauded him of $750 in iTunes credit cards.
LAWRENCE W. BIELSKI, 56, of 128 Grove Ave., Genoa City, with manufacture/deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana and manufacture/deliver drug paraphernalia. Genoa City police say on Oct. 20, they found 20 to 40 marijuana plants inside Bielski's home.
RODOLFO L. CHARO JR., 16, of 535 Elmhurst, No. 7, Delavan, with criminal damage to laundry machines, entry into a locked coin box and misdemeanor theft, all party to the crime. Charo Jr. was charged in adult court. City of Delavan police say on July 20, Charo Jr. stole money from washing and drying machines. The combined cost of the damaged machines is $2,796, police say.
JEREMY B. COLBERG, 31, of W5688 Tamarack Trail, Whitewater, with burglary and misdemeanor theft. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on Feb. 28, Colberg stole and pawned a gold ring from someone who let him stay in his home as a homeless opiate addict.
JAY A. DUBOIS, 49, of 618 E. Walworth Ave., Delavan, with two counts of threat to law enforcement officer, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct. City of Delavan police say on Oct. 30, Dubois was intoxicated and said he knew where officers lived and when he got out of jail he was going to kill them.
TREVOR T. FENWICK, 35, of Watertown with operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent. Whitewater police say on Aug. 22, Fenwick took a car until Watertown police recovered it on Sept. 9.
STEVEN J. IGNASIAK, 56, of 27515 Durand Ave., Burlington, with two counts of theft of moveable property worth more than $10,000. Burlington police say between Dec. 23, 2015, and June 23, 2016, Ignasiak reported a trailer stolen before Progressive Insurance paid him for his claim. Prosecutors say he intentionally concealed and retained the trailer when it belonged to Progressive.
STEPHEN T. NEWMAN, 33, of N2451 Temperance Trail, Darien, with failure to report to jail. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on June 2, failed to report to jail after a May 2 conviction for disorderly conduct. Judge Phil Koss ordered Newman to serve 60 days in jail with work release.
FERDINAND RAMOS-FRANCO, 39, of 327 Cherry St., Janesville, with failure to report to jail. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on June 24, 2016, Ramos-Franco failed to report to jail after a May 3, 2016, conviction of second-offense OWI. Former Judge James Carlson sentenced Ramos-Franco to serve 30 days in jail with work release.
ANDERSON E. SANCHEZ, 50, of 612 E. High St., upper unit, Milton, with failure to report to jail. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on May 12, Sanchez did not report to jail following an April 11 conviction of operating while revoked. Judge Phil Koss ordered Sanchez to serve 15 days in jail with work release.
JASON E. SWANSON, 37, listed as homeless and from Racine, with repeater counts of theft of moveable property of more than $10,000 and identity theft for financial gain. Elkhorn police say between Oct. 27, 2014, and April 4, 2017, Swanson spent several thousand dollars on a gaming site and other internet activities using a debit card without the owner's permission.
JOSE L. URBAN, 22, of 1402 Birchwood St., Delavan, with failure to report to jail. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on Dec. 21, 2016, Urban did not report to jail following a Nov. 21, 2016, conviction for criminal damage to property. Judge Phil Koss ordered Urban to serve 45 days in jail with work release.
