AN 11-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY at 8:48 p.m. Sunday at his residence in the 1200 block of South Washington Street, Janesville, on suspicion of strangulation and suffocation. Also cited for battery.

Intoxicated driving arrest

JOSE CONCEPCION LOPEZ-ROCHA, 34, of Loves Park, Illinois, at 11:44 p.m. Monday at Mount Zion and Randall avenues, Janesville, after an officer saw Lopez-Rocha’s green Ford Explorer SUV fail to stop at a flashing red light. The vehicle at the time was traveling with no headlights.


FRAUD at 3:57 p.m. Monday at the 1900 block of East Milwaukee Street, Janesville. A woman told police she paid U-Haul of Janesville for a storage unit and agreed with a company official that a second unit a relative was using would be paid for by another person. The company charged the woman’s debit card May 2 for the unit she said she had not agreed to pay for. The company reimbursed the woman but then, on May 12, charged her card again for second unit without her authorization. The woman said the company still had not reimbursed her for the second charge.

THEFT at 4:12 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Swan Lane, Janesville. A woman said a 14-year-old boy she knows broke open her bedroom door and stole a Bulova wristwatch valued at $750. The juvenile was later arrested on suspicion of theft and property damage and was taken into custody by juvenile authorities. does not condone or review every comment.
