UW-Whitewater has been recognized as a “College of Distinction” for the third consecutive year, based on outstanding teaching and commitment to student success, according to a news release.

Colleges of Distinction is an organization that serves as a resource for students, parents and high school guidance counselors. It reviews universities’ freshman experience, retention efforts, student satisfaction, alumni success, strategic planning and general education programs.

Institutions selected by Colleges of Distinction have earned good marks for student engagement, teaching efforts, successful outcomes and a vibrant community.

“At UW-Whitewater, the student experience is a rich and vibrant one, where Warhawks are encouraged to be inquisitive and actively learn inside and outside the classroom,” Chancellor Dwight Watson is quoted as saying in the release.
