Eleven area students were among those earning $2,000 scholarships from Educators Credit Union this year.

The students had to attend a high school in the credit union’s service area, maintain a cumulative 3.0 grade-point average, be eligible for graduation, be accepted to a college or technical school, be a primary owner of an account and demonstrate the credit union’s core values.

This year’s recipients are Cassandra Sala, Beloit Memorial High School; Evan Bitter, Erin Calkins and Kennedy Cox, Craig High School; Julia Pulokas, Elkhorn Area High School; Alexandra Burke, Neil Garcia, Holly Gunnink and Kaitlin Larson, Milton High School; Nancy Suarez, Parker High School; and Lydia Wiley Deal, Whitewater High School.
