Craig High School graduate Emma Bussan received a $2,500 STAR Scholarship from the P.E.O. Sisterhood after recommendation by the P.E.O. Chapter CK of Janesville. The STAR Scholarship is awarded to women who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.
Bussan was a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Tri-M, Student Council Executive Board, Interact Club and competition dance team at Veracity Dance Project. She was captain of the varsity poms team, an AP Scholar with honors and was the 2020 delegate for Badger Girls State and the Tim Cullen Institute. She also volunteered for No Limits Dance and at the community garden.
Bussan is the daughter of Aron Bussan and Michelle and Brad Montgomery. She plans to study international affairs at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
