State Rep. Tyler August, R-Lake Geneva, was unanimously elected by his peers to serve as Assembly speaker pro tempore, the second-highest constitutional office in the Wisconsin Assembly.

As speaker pro tempore, August will preside over the Assembly when it is in session.

“I look forward to once again presiding over the state Assembly to ensure our floor session are efficient and fair,” August said in a press release.
