A juvenile was taken into custody Wednesday morning on suspicion of making terrorist threats at Evansville High School.

Evansville police responded to the high school at 8:55 a.m. for a report of threats made to the high school and/or school staff, according to a news release from Evansville police.

The school was placed on a soft lockdown while police investigated, according to the release. The lockdown was lifted after about 30 minutes.

Police identified some of the people they suspected were involved in making the threats. One juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Rock County Youth Services Center, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing.
