Ron Olsen of Janesville is featured in the season premiere of “Wisconsin Life,” which airs at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, on Wisconsin Public Television.

Host Angela Fitzgerald will interview Olsen, a retired architectural draftsman, about the 29 scale models he made of famous Frank Lloyd Wright buildings.

They include the more complex Fallingwater in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, the Romeo & Juliet Windmill at Taliesin near Spring Green, and the SC Johnson Research Tower in Racine.

The accurate models represent thousands of hours of detailed work, and 23 are on permanent display at SC Johnson’s Fortaleza Hall in Racine.

Olsen made his first model at the suggestion of his wife, Judy, who knew he needed something challenging to do in retirement.
