The city of Janesville Recreation Division is seeking entries for the annual Jolly Jingle Holiday Light Parade.

The parade starts at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. The route begins at the intersection of Jackson and Wall streets and proceeds south on Jackson. Participants will then travel east on Milwaukee Street and then south on Main Street and end at Racine Street.

Entries can be floats, decorated vehicles, marching groups, walking units or other formations. There is no fee to enter.

Awards will be given to one entrant in each of these five categories: Judge’s Choice Award, Best Use of Lights, Best Use of a Theme, Most Creative and Most Spirit.

Winners will receive their choice of an engraved plaque, trophy or cash prize. Award winners will also be allowed to choose their spot in next year’s parade and will be recognized as the previous year’s winner.

Applications are due Friday, Nov. 19.
