Janesville welcomed its first baby of the new year at 1:23 a.m. Saturday at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Janesville.
The newborn, Thaddeus Jeffery Robinson, weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 18 inches long.
Thaddeus’ parents, Beloit residents Stephanie Delatorre and Jesse Robinson, welcomed the arrival of Thaddeus. Siblings Luciano, Ramone and Andraya were also excited to meet their baby brother.
“We chose the name Thaddeus because it means ‘Gift from God’ and ‘Born of a Courageous Heart,’” Delatorre said, according to hospital press release.
