Jenny Salvo, an administrative assistant for the city of Edgerton, has been named Milton’s new city clerk.
Salvo was given a conditional offer of employment contingent on completion of a pre-employment drug screening, which is required for all new city employees. She starts her new job March 18.
Her appointment was confirmed by the city council Wednesday.
Salvo’s LinkedIn profile says she has worked for the city of Edgerton for more than eight years and is certified through the International Association of Administrative Professionals in Madison. She is also a certified municipal treasurer through the Municipal Treasurers Association of Wisconsin.
Salvo of Janesville will be paid $55,536 annually. After obtaining her certified municipal clerk designation, she will be eligible for a raise to $59,536.
The former city clerk, Leanne Schroeder, resigned at the end of last year after 13 years with the city.
