The Rock County Sheriff's Office will host its second Cops & Bobbers fishing outing of 2022 on July 12, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Sheriff's office staff will help participants fish at Kiwanis Pond in Janesville from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There are 25 spots available for kids age 7 to 12, and they will be filled on a first-come, first-served bases, according to the release. Parents and guardians can register their children online at bit.ly/3bmrjmD.

Life jackets, fishing gear and lunch will be provided, and participants will receive a T-shirt.

The sheriff's office is also seeking sponsorships for this youth outreach program. The outings are free to participants thanks to the generosity of financial and in-kind sponsors.
