A motorist who spotted erratic driving led sheriff’s deputies to an arrest on suspicion of fifth-offense intoxicated driving.

The motorist called 911 around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, to report a car crossing the centerline and veering off the edge of the road in the area of Highway 51 and Hurd Road, according to a Rock County Sheriff's Office report.

The motorist followed the car until it stopped at the park-and-ride lot at Highway 51 and Interstate 90/39, where deputies arrested Timothy L. Troon Jr., 33, of 1101 N. Pass St., Edgerton.

Troon faces two additional charges Rock County Court: driving after revocation and an ignition-interlock violation.

Troon was held on a $500 cash bond after his initial appearance Monday, Sept. 20. A preliminary hearing is set for Monday, Sept. 27.
