Young girls curious about careers in STEM fields are welcomed to attend Tech Savvy virtual workshops Feb. 13 and 27.

Girls in grades six through 10 will learn about various career options in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math.

Workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and are led by UW-Whitewater professors and women in STEM professions.

The keynote speaker will be nuclear engineer Abbey Donahue, engineering manager for SHINE Medical Technologies. Donahue will give a presentation titled, “From Pearls to Plasma Physics: With STEM, the World is Your Oyster.”

Only 100 openings are available. Registration costs $10 and covers workshop supplies and a T-shirt. Sign-up is required by Feb. 3.
