Volunteers are needed for a work event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 16, in the Healing Garden at Edgerton Hospital and Health Services, 11101 N. Sherman Road.
Volunteers will help plant 12,000 spring-blooming bulbs throughout the garden and are not required to stay for the entire event.
Gardening experience is not needed. Professional landscaper Mark Dwyer will demonstrate and guide volunteers on the planting process.
Volunteers should dress for the weather and bring gardening gloves, sunscreen, kneeling pads and personal garden tools.
Snacks and beverages will be provided.
In case of rain, the event will be postponed to Oct. 30.
