FORT ATKINSON—The Fort Atkinson Branch of the American Association of University Women will host a panel discussion on the Dream Scholars and Colleagues (DSC) program at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6.

DSC is a student organization at UW-Whitewater that works to help DACA-eligible students.

DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, is a U.S. immigration policy that allowed qualified individuals who entered the country as minors to earn a renewable two-year deferment of deportation proceedings and a permit to work.

In addition to offering educational events to raise awareness concerning DACA and the DREAM Act, DSC supports the Whitewater Dream Fund, a private scholarship for DACA-eligible students at UW-Whitewater.

During the Nov. 6 program, a panel of students from UW-Whitewater will lead a discussion of the DSC program.

The program will be held at Dwight Foster Public Library, 209 Merchants Ave. Refreshments will be offered starting at 6:30 p.m., and the program will start at 7 p.m.
