My friend, eaglewhisperer 18, has good news: Decorah eagles Mom lays her first egg 2/22/18. The video on this page, however, shows a Decorah eagle food fight occurring a week or so before the egg and stars an adolescent eagle. Adolescents stay with adults to learn how to survive, says raptor biologist Chris Martin, and are tolerated because they are "not a threat to a breeding territory." In this video, a juvenile fights a nesting Decorah eagle for food.
