The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary would like to thank the community for supporting our Coats for Kids distribution on Saturday, Oct. 28. Because of your generosity we were able to provide 181 families, including 257 adults and 325 children, with warm winter wear. A total of 2,270 coats and other winter items were distributed. This would not have been possible without the help of our sponsors: the Janesville School District, Choice Cleaners, Dan’s Creston Park Laundromat and Premier Bank. We appreciate all of the businesses that allowed us to place collection barrels at their locations. The women of the auxiliary work many hours to support this distribution which has taken place for over 20 years. We appreciate the publicity provided by the Gazette, WCLO, and Milton Courier.
