A huge vote of gratitude to all who came out Sunday, Aug. 20, to support our fifth annual Riverside Park music festival and chicken roast sponsored by the Friends of Riverside Park and the Janesville Noon Lions Club, making it an overwhelming success! With the exception of a late afternoon weather alert, conditions were ideal for encouraging the public to attend in record numbers.

Additional thanks are owed to numerous volunteers from both organizations, the cadre of Rock County Sheriff’s Department RECAP workers, food and prize donators, the City of Janesville Parks and Recreation Department, and the news and advertising media for aiding in the promotional efforts toward this annual event which is dedicated to supporting the use and maintenance of Riverside Park, one of Janesville’s finest recreational treasures.

On behalf of the Friends of Riverside Park and Janesville Noon Lions Club
