MINING in WISCONSIN update - ALERT: Sen. Cullen is scheduled to be on "YOUR TALK SHOW" on WCLO (1230 AM) at 10 am today. I assume that this will be a good chance for WE THE PEOPLE of the 15th State Senate District to ask Sen. Cullen more about the mining legislation. What do YOU want to ask?

"Let's bring mining back to WI" - I agree. But, HOW? I note a general consensus that MINING should be brought back to WI. I AGREE! Do YOU? I perceive the real issue is process and priorization of values to PROTECT HIGH QUALITY ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS on behalf of WE THE PEOPLE of WI.

57th INAUGURATION DAY - The fact that the 2nd Inauguration of the first African-American President of the US – BARACK OBAMA – comes on MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY is, I believe, very significant. I will be listening to Obama’s 2nd Inaugural Address to hear how he ties the mission and message of MLK, Jr. with the mission and message of his 2nd administration. HOPEFUL!

MLK, JR DAY & US PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION DAY TOGETHER - I think it is VERY significant that the PUBLIC CELEBRATION of the 2nd Inauguration of Barack Obama as President of our USA comes on our national MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. holiday. The symbolism of the first African-American president of our USA taking the presidential oath of office for the 2nd time on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is PROFOUND!

“Somewhere over the rainbow” - I encourage you to start your day today listening to children from Sandy Hook, CT singing, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with Ingrid Michaelson. I heard the report yesterday and TODAY I went to the YouTube video online. I confess, I have never heard the words of that song with so much meaning and inspiration as I did this morning.

TOO MANY LOOSE ENDS in Milton School District! I realize that Milton Board President Rob Roy asked the Janesville Gazette to stop reporting on the Milton School District “MESS,” BUT I think that the Milton Board needs to tie up LOOSE ENDS with WE THE PEOPLE of the School District of Milton before we can agree, “CASE CLOSED.” What do YOU think?
