Where in the world is JOE KNILANS?
Where in the world is JOE KNILANS? I agree wholeheartedly with the Gazette's strong editorial today. What do YOU think? Where in the world do YOU think JOE KNILANS is? Is he IN the 44th Assembly District? Remember that when elected he was NOT a resident of the 44th. So??
YES, as the Gazette editorial asserts, "Ryan, Knilans should plan appearances" (read on p. 6A in today's Gazette)both candidates owe it to WE THE PEOPLE who are citizens of their respective districts: Ryan US House District #1 and Knilans WI Assembly District #44 to debate with their opponents: Rob Zerban running for US House District #1 and Deb Kolste running for WI Assembly District #44. What do YOU think?
Where in the world is JOE KNILANS? The editorial indicates that there has been no follow-up from the KNILANS campaign about re-scheduling for the debate originally agreed to by JOE KNILANS to be held last TUES (10/2) evening with co-sponsors FORWARD JANESVILLE, League of Women Voters of Janesville and JATV. I put FORWARD JANESVILLE in ALL CAPS because it appeared in the comments reacting to my post, "What's the rest of the story? 44th Assembly District Forum Canceled" last Monday (10/1) that readers did NOT read carefully enough to KNOW that FORWARD JANESVILLE was one of the co-sponsors. Perhaps readers need to read more carefully?
We got some information when the Gazette published Jim Leute's front page article, "Knilans camp mum on debate details." What we really learned was that JOE KNILANS was not accessible to clarify why he withdrew from the forum and his campaign manager Tyler Wenzlaff was NOT able or willing to provide any information. In fact, Wenzlaff did not follow-up to report back to Jim Leute as he promised with details. So, what is the REST OF THE STORY, JOE? Where in the world are you, JOE KNILANS?
I KNOW that IF I were eligible (I am a citizen of the 43rd Assembly District) to cast a ballot in the 44th Assembly District election I would make it a point to vote for DEB KOLSTE in PROTEST of JOE KNILANS' attitude toward WE THE PEOPLE of the 44th Assembly District. What do YOU think?
I do wonder when we will hear from JOE KNILANS... what do YOU expect?
Here we go...

I am a retired GM worker. I am surprised an individual with your educational background has time for my world.
Reading what your keyboard throws together, we are to remain clean, nice, but most of all-fair. Correct? My assembly rep. spends most of his time at the capitol. If you need to reach him-call call his office. It took me a month to contact MS. Kolste. Only after I went to her facebook page did she contact me. I would equal time with you, sir?

Joe doesn't walk the walk. Joe doesn't want to talk. Joe can't do the simplest part and most important part of his job. Looks like No Show Joe is at it again! or should I say, No Show Knilans? Better yet lets just solve the problem with - NO Knilans!

Either way his campaign manager is not very reliable or he is blowing it off. Either way its not very responsible not to provide an excuse. Most of us have to provide an excuse when we don't show up for work.
Yes, Joe, you have become a politician. If it doesn't suit you apparently, it is not worth fighting for or even to show up. I find it hypocritical that you have aligned yourself with a party that has turned their back on collective bargaining. It was the UAW, which so happily gained you and your family great benefits while you were employed at GM. It also took a union and a democratic governor to make sure all you laid off workers got priority and money to go back to school ultimately gaining your political science degree. Just sayin...

Missing last night, were any reporters from the Gazette to report on the event with Kolste and Knilans.

Do you think he's been kidnapped? I wonder what he's worth in ransom money? Not a peep from him. Not even Mr. Wenzlaff has a clue to his whereabouts. If Mr. Wenzlaff can find contact info for the JPD, he should call them ASAP.

The search continues for JOE KNILANS... I am baffled that there has been no responsible follow-up by JOE himself or his campaign to clarify the situation. WHY NOT?
Now, I am hoping that JOE KNILANS will particpate in the scheduled debate at 10 am on Monday, October 29, 2012 on WCLO's "YOUR TALK SHOW." I plan to listen and HOPE to hear both JOE KNILANS and DEB KOLSTE. What do YOU expect?
Here we go... John W. Eyster

LOL--so you don't even have a dog in the fight but you just can't help making someone else's talking points your own. Unbelievable.
While you're decrying a person's whereabouts in a district that has nothing to do with you, how about Jesse Jackson, Jr.?

He isn't voting -- he's sharing an opinion. And we are allowed to vote for whatever reason we want. The best, most earnest vote you could cast is this: vote against reading Mr. Eyster's blog. If his opinion is so harmful to your sensibilities, don't read it.

He is misleading by saying he is voting in protest of his attitude vs. his blind following of the left when hitting the polls. (The same as the rights blind following of their candidates when hitting the polls)

John Eyster is listed as a community blogger in the blogger list which leads me to believe he is not a staff member of the Gazette. To me punishing the Gazette for what he has to say as part of Freedom of the Speech is not an appropriate action.
He is allowed to post his opinions and comments even though they don't necessarily agree with yours as his rights under the Freedom of Speech.

How about simply boycotting these blogs altogether? Or just boycott Mr. Eyster's blog? Put your money where your mouth is and resist the urge to read Gazettextra.com and comment on its stories. The Gazette allows your posted opinions ad nauseam, so why should it censor Mr. Eyster's periodic opinion? Write on, Mr. Eyster. BTW, no one here has reported seeing Mr. Knilans. His disappearance remains a mystery.
