Lies! Lies! Lies! Local too!

I am among the voting citizens of Rock County who wants to go ON RECORD contradicting Sheriff Candidate Keller making reference to “brown shirts” when referring to our Rock County Sheriff Deputies! Just another LIE filling the media – print & electronic – during this Fall 2010 election cycle. HELP! How to we gain INTEGRITY in our election campaigns? WHY NOT TRY TRUTH?! What is YOUR recommendation?

Let me encourage you to read Dr. Charles V. Ford, M.D., is Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology, at the School of Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham’s book, “Lies! Lies”” Lies!!!: The Psychology of Deceit.”

Gaining perspective on lying as part of our culture. Dr. Ford asserts, “Everybody lies. We learn to lie and to detect deceit as a developmental task.” I think it is very significant that Dr. Ford asserts, “Lies work not only to deceive others but to deceive ourselves.”

For me, one key resource this fall has been “PolitiFactWisconsin.” Check it out.

I think it is important that PolitiFactWisconsin checked out the CHARGE by Mark Belling, Milwaukee radio commentator. LIE! And what response from Belling, “It is up to Feingold to PROVE that I lied.” HELP! So, I can go tell LIES! LIES! LIES! And whomever I lie about has to prove herself/himself that I am lying?!

Read the report, “Belling intentionally lies about Feingold ad” - Truth-O-Meter - “Pants on fire”! – PolitiFactWisconsin.

LOCAL – I was TOTALLY OFFENDED by the use of the term, “brown shirts” in reference to our Rock County Sheriff deputies by Rock County Sheriff Candidate Gary Keller, “Sheriff aspirant likens deputies to Nazis.” Stunned that the Gazette gave this candidate space to “explain” his statement, “Sheriff candidate explains comment.” IF you believe this rationalization, I have a BRIDGE for sale and HOPE you will contact me, please. (Use the e-mail link w/this blog post, please.) I do NOT think Gary had ANY reason that he would repeat UNtrue statements about our Rock County Sheriff deputies EXCEPT as a ploy for his election.

Did YOU read the Gazette article carefully to note that Gary went out of his way to be sure that listeners and readers would BE SURE to KNOW that his reference to “brown shirts” referred to the Nazi storm troopers? QUOTE of Gary, “Anybody that knows anything about history knows what I mean there.” How dumb does Gary think WE THE PEOPLE – voters – in Rock County really are?! I KNOW that I will NOT vote for Gary.

IF you have a specific situation in which YOU YOURSELF experienced a “brown shirt” behavior of a Rock County Sheriff Deputy, I invite you to post your testimony. Be very careful! Remember, comments are subject to the laws regarding libel and slander. Forewarned is forearmed!

I have had several personal experiences with ROCK COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTIES and I have never ever had a negative experience! I know our Sheriff Bob Spoden and I have FULL confidence in his professional attitudes and behaviors.

Are we going to regain CIVILITY in our electoral system so that our republic will have a healthy electoral system?! I am worried. Lies! Lies! Lies! I am checking PolitiFact Wisconsin daily. I urge you to do so too. And, follow reports in The Janesville Gazette and other newspapers dealing with our November 2, election. BE SURE that IF you do vote, YOU are an informed voter.

Here we go…

Mr. E.
