Don't forget to vote for Riverside Park

By ANN MARIE AMES ( Contact )   Friday, October 2, 2009 - 11:18 a.m.

A Friends of Riverside Park project is one of many national finalists in Tom's of Maine's grant contest.

Readers may vote daily for five applications. Projects around the nation focus on improving health, community and the environment.

I really enjoyed reading the list. Many communities are very creative in their work.

Here in Janesville, the friends group is looking to clean up the park's shoreline and improve access to the river.

You may vote every day.

Pay tribute to Chicago:

Vote early and vote often.

I'm glad you posted this. It's one of the things I remember when I'm away from my computer, but forget when I'm near the interweb. Thanks for the reminder! :)
