Flooding in the forecast
Just when you think our fields and lawns and gardens and rivers can’t handle any more water, more falls.
Our weather problems this spring are stretching far beyond the frustrating cold and clouds. Today’s Gazette reported that the roiling Rock River could rise to a level rivaling that of the historic flood of 2008--and more rain has fallen today.
Area towns have set up sandbagging stations.
Will the river rise to that historic mark of 13.5 feet in Afton we saw on June 21, 2008? What are the odds? What will it mean to our region? What can you do to help those in need?
We’ll share our perspectives in our editorial Friday.
