If you’re not watching the calendar, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. It’s Tuesday. That means romance is in the air. A state agency warns, however, that online dating services might be the wrong places to look for love.

In her column in today’s Gazette, Anna Marie Lux discusses how Wisconsin helped nurture a national record number of young eastern bluebirds in nest boxes in 2010 but experienced a drastic falloff in 2011. I appreciate lots of birds, but the bluebird is my favorite.
