Is housing rehabilitation a wise investment?

Since 2009, the city of Janesville has used federal grants to buy foreclosed or dilapidated properties and then demolish or rehabilitate the homes. When those refurbished are sold, the proceeds don’t match the money invested. Is this wise? This will be the subject of The Gazette’s editorial Tuesday.

A pitiful performance at Miller Park

Good thing we enjoyed spending time tailgating with friends before Sunday’s baseball game at Miller Park because the Brewers forgot to show up.
