JANESVILLE—Imagine cruising out to get some Saturday morning lumber in Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ pickup truck.

Fred and Karen Graskamp of Janesville are getting the chance.

Ford Motor Company announced the couple won this year’s Aaron Rodgers “My Ford Could Be Yours” Sweepstakes.

They couple were out looking for a new Ford SUV this year, and signed up for the sweepstakes at Metro Ford in Madison to win a 2011 Platinum Edition Ford F-150 owned by Rodgers.

They found out earlier this month that they’d won the truck.

“We were shocked when we got the call,” said Karen Graskamp. “We were looking to eventually replace our other vehicle, and now we get to do that—with Aaron Rodgers’ F-150 (pickup).”

Ford began partnering with Rodgers, a former NFL Most Valuable Player in 2011. The company said it believes Rodgers is a natural fit as a Ford pickup truck spokesman because of his own “toughness and durability” as a professional quarterback.

It’s not clear how long Rodgers actually owned the truck or how often he drove it, but he said in a statement through Ford that the vehicle “has got the perfect combination of power, capability and comfort.”

Not to mention a hint of after-game sweat from one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.
