Rock County 4-H Fair brings country Hunter Hayes to main stage
Gazette staff JANESVILLE--The Rock County 4-H Fair has diversified its all-country entertainment lineup this year with a crossover country-pop sensation who is sure to delight area teens and tweens.
Fair officials have announced that country music up-and-comer Hunter Hayes is performing at this year’s fair. Hayes will hit the fair’s main stage at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25.
The fresh-faced, 21-year-old Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, native and multi-instrumentalist brings a pop-country sound that’s topped the country charts in 2012 with “Storm Warning” and this year with No. 1 singles “Wanted” and “Somebody's Heartbreak.”
Hayes, who as a child performed for President Bill Clinton at a White House Lawn party, toured in 2011 as a supporting act for pop and country megastar Taylor Swift.
Tickets for Hayes go on sale June 1, and cost $10 for general seating. General admission to the fairgrounds is a separate, additional fee.
