JANESVILLE—A broken headlight, apparent fresh front-end damage to his vehicle, crossing of centerlines and an expired registration resulted in the arrest of a Janesville man early today for fourth-offense drunken driving.

Richard L. Lambert, 55, 5437 Sunnyshore Drive, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. after a Janesville police officer observed the vehicle traveling north on Pontiac Drive from Mount Zion Avenue.

When stopped, Lambert had slurred speech and failed field sobriety testing, according to a department press release.

He was taken to the Rock County Jail where he consented to a blood test. The results were unknown at the time of the news release.

Officers were unable to determine if Lambert had been involved in an earlier crash, and none were reported to police.
